Death Penalty Drug Being Discontinued

It's kind of like some of the snake venom drugs - not enough customers for the drug companies to make money.

Sodium theopental is only made by one company.  It is also discontinuing production because of opposition from overseas.  Why cut off markets for its other products because of one drug?  When they try to shift production to another country (such as Italy), said country refuses to make the drug if it may be diverted to lethal injections.
