At first, I had no entry for 9/ 11 / 11 but relaxed with my family.
The church down the street had a nondenominational service, there was a remembrance along a peaceful creek near here, and there was a low-key event at Seattle Center.
I didn't watch tv or listen to the radio or even do much reading, though I noticed this image. After reading what Kayakbiker and Chris wrote, and Nyc's Doonesbury cartoon, I decided to put this up.
No matter who is President, this has been a tortuously long decade and I am glad this day is almost coming to a close. There have been sensitive and respectful events, and some critical analysis and context, but all too much exploitation, commercialization, and nationalistic cheerleading.
