We are back to report on the "beaver" art which shocked Bemidji. It has been attacked by vandals. Police currently have no suspects. It was sprayed with black paint.

The giant fiberglass sculpture, named "Gaea," is one of 10 painted beavers scattered around downtown Bemidji along what the city calls its Sculpture Walk. Gaea has female figures painted on its sides and a tree on its back. Its belly features a painting in which some see praying hands and some see a woman's genitalia.
