Ally McRepuke in Seoul

Love this. Exactly what I needed!

I also noticed that the area code (031) gives away Obama Realty's location as Gyeonggi Province, which surrounds, but does not include, Seoul. I'm in Gyeonggi Province, which has 10 million people in addition to Seoul's own 10 million; the province now consists of many posh suburban communities that replaced rice paddies in the 1990s and on, with excellent mass transit links to Seoul. The port city of Incheon to the west, formerly part of the province but now separate, has another 2.5 million. BTW, the 010 area code, also seen here, is a nationwide cell phone area code, one of several. (My rental cell phone has a 010 area code too.)

I don't think the current "pro-American" right-wing government of Lee Myung-bak (AKA "2MB") would approve, however. 2MB may compare himself to Obama in that both were successful in their youth, but aside from being nonwhites, there are absolutely no similarities. It's also well-known that 2MB does not recognize the legitimacy of Obama, and had funded those who wanted him lynched. This guy is NOT pro-American; he's far more anti-American than anyone I've known, including former President Roh Moo-hyun, which the media always describes as an anti-American Communist, but did grant two major W wishes, namely South Korean troops occupying Iraq and a free trade deal between the two nations without the American people's input.

Seriously, 2MB can invoke his new powers, raid Obama Realty, and arrest everyone inside as "left-wing activists" - a status constitutionally protected until last month, but now punishable by death.

The Korean-American community was instrumental in making the 2MB rule happen, and most South Koreans are mad as hell. When I return to the US, I'll make the Korean-Americans pay a dear price.
