There was an amazing diary about Reverend Moon up at Daily Kos, by reader Darksyde. He interviewed the author of "Bad Moon Rising," John Gorenfeld. The diary entry had fallen off the radar within a short time, so I wanted to keep the story alive. It seems that even in the alternative media, people tend to ignore or minimize stories about dangerous cult leaders. At the same time they obsess on those religious figures made controversial in the mainstream media. Slugbug
It is mind-boggling that Moon led a movement to remove crosses from all churches, touring black churches and Israel and no one blinked. He has lived like a King, and loves to be crowned. He once had a crowning ceremony in a basement Congressional office room, attended by some of our Congressmen. (Gorenberg broke the story, but it took two months for him to get any media coverage.) Moon has links with Tim LaHaye, Neil and George Bush and founded Reagan's favorite newspaper.
Here is the line that got me to watch the video "The King of America":
Various conservatives, including a Nixon aide, began to see a useful ally. I even found a letter from a young Karl Rove to RNC head George Bush, gleefully mentioning Moon's Freedom Leadership Foundation, in a list of right-wing youth groups who were mobilizing to win the debate on campus. Reverend Moon is currently touring the planet with Neil Bush, a recipient of his funds.
Remember how the Bush family is buying a huge ranch in Paraguay atop the world's largest aguifer of good drinking water (also crossroads for the international narcotics trade)? Well guess who their neighbor will be - Reverend Moon, who wants to erect an "ecological paradise." This blogger revealed it. I found it when I was looking for information on Tom Delay.
How can Reverend Moon call the US "The Kingdom of Satan" and be crowned by our Congressmen as "King of Peace" and Presidential candidate Obama is harassed because his former minister made much milder allegations? Moon has, in fact, influenced the 2008 election by originating the rumor that Barack Obama was educated in a madrassa, a rightwing email favorate. He can publish any lie he wants in his rightwing newspaper. Like Scientology, he has a worldwide Mission to "perfect humanity". It would take all day to list his businesses, many of which have received faith-based funds from the Bush administration.
Remember that Moon did not corrupt American politics as a private citizen. He did so as an agent of the South Korean government.
S Korea has every reason to keep the US in Republican hands, because (1) pro-war Republicans are less likely to listen to antiwar protesters, and hopefully prevent S Korea from becoming another S Vietnam, and (2) the Koreans subscribe to a Confucian "older brother-younger brother" view of international relations, and want the US to be "respectable" older brother - in other words, conservative Christian Republican.
Under the last two leftist Presidents, S Korea did a more bipartisan approach toward the US. But they were thrown out for economic mismanagement and once again replaced with the fascist regime, when in fact it was the fascist party that had bankrupted S Korea in the first place. In doing so, the PEOPLE of S Korea have made it CLEAR that they want to fuck up the American democracy.
They need to PAY PAY PAY. No sane progressive shall buy any products from Samsung, LG, or Hyundai. Korean Air, which flew a Reaganian spy mission into the USSR using a packed 747 (and got 270 civilians killed in the process) must be barred from flying to US ever again.

Before you start backing the wrong horse, you might want to check out Ferrakhann, Reverend Jeremiah Wright and Reverend Moon. There is a huge connection there as well. Looks like Obama is well controlled by this group.
