Nina Hagen is great. Remember her popular song TV Glotzer? It was about a couch potato addicted to TV, a cover of White Punks on Dope with new German lyrics. I used to have the 45; I can't find it, but I did find my old 45 by the Normal called Warm Leatherette. I think I bought that when I lived at your place in one of those little record stores near the U. I used to look through all of their stacks of imported records.

& then "TV OD" - Chris had a lapel button that said that too

Grace Jones did a great version of "Warm Leatherette" - I just realized I have both versions on my iTunes.
Loved also "My Jamaican Guy" and "Nipple to the Bottle" and especially "Slave To The Rhythm."

My Nina Hagen was an EP I got from Barb, my friend who was at the time working for Capital Records in LA. She sent alot of free records. I think I still have it.

Then we would also listen to Lene Lovich, & also Leila and the Snakes, which turned into Pearl Harbor & the Explosions, from San Francisco. Saw Leila in SF in a bar in '77 just before moving up here & then Pearl Harbor at the Paramount.

I think I saw The Clash open for the Who with you at the KingDome and in my recollection, the Clash blew the Who out of the water. Saw The Police at the Paramount.

Found my old tickets while cleaning last week - I'll see what I still have:
