I thought at first that he was speaking Russian.  I could not understand a word.  I searched his face.  I finally ran his accent through my auditory processing filter and then I understood every word without a problem.  "My name is Leonid, like Brezhnev.  Are you born here or another country?  What is your background, your grandparents?    English ..  good background.  You are  curious person, looking at walls where people were writing.  Have you been in Russia?  It was cheap fifteen years ago. Now you must be millionaire.  Do you have a house?  Do you have room to rent to me?"
