I've Been Remiss With This Blog

I figured that no one reads blogs any more - they go to Facebook. Yet Facebook is limited to friends and firends of friends and friends of friends of friends. With blogs, you get all sorts of Russian spammers and Nigerian scammers!!

Be that as it may, I can link to Facebook. I would like to promote things that I like - outsiders and eccentrics and creative geniuses, unsigned musicians and under-recognized artists, weird customs among the normal and normal life among the weird or the wired.

A lot has happened in Seattle to make it somewhat of a Center of the Universe, perhaps emanating from Fremont, even though it's been invaded by Amazon and Google. Lake City and Aurora are studded with medical marijuana stores and the "regular" ones will open next year. Gay marriage is business as usual and we have a real socialist on the City Council now. The latest Tim Eyman right wing initiative was defeated and Seatac voted for a $15 minimum wage.

My Beetle's transmission went down and I got a GTI though I wanted a mini. It's better for a baby seat and I'm going to be a granny. It also goes from 0 to 60 in less than 7 seconds and goes up to 180 mph! It's kind of a guy car and I need to bond with it.
