McDonald's French Comic Hero Ad Sparks Outrage
The new advertisement shows animated Gallic hero Asterix and his merry band of warriors reveling inside a McDonald's franchise. The illustration is essentially a send-up of feast scenes as seen in the popular series, yet without the traditional wild boar and ale.
& since we're going to France in 3 weeks, I recalled that a MacDonalds was added to the Food Court in The Louvre last year, which sparked outrage. Never mind that it's tacky to have a food court there in the first place! There is also another McDonalds across the street on Rue de Rivoli or not far away on the Champs Elysees!
