It's not even 7 AM here on a Sunday & I only got up to look for my missing cat in the dark.

supposed Powell endorsement .
Zogby has the gap narrowing in favor of McCain. No one has heretofore talked much about Zogby and all of a sudden he's on my Comcast main page. It stinks. Then one of the comments on the Powell story says "They are saying it won't matter" (meaning, I presume, mainstream media.) Then I read that Obama had $150,000,000 in Sept. and over 666,000 new donors (I made that number up to scare the fundies but it's close.) So who is Zogby polling? He hasn't called me in months.
Here it is, on Obama's site, sent by someone from Munich, Germany. (with video)
MSNBC link "I have some concerns about the way that the party has gone." Now he is praising Obama's judgment. He isn't sure about McCain's approach to economics and has such a genteel way of saying that he is erratic and lurching. He is so polite about the bizarre Palin selection and it does "raise a question of Mr. McCain's judgment." Now he's talking about Obama. He's talking about "intellectual vigor." "Narrow" - a great word for the R's. "Inclusive" - a great word for Obama. "All towns have values, not just small towns." McCain's campaign ads - not central to our problems, the Ayers "washed up terrorist" yet we keep talking about it and the "robocalls." Powell is calm, respectful, dignified and fed up. Bravo! I'll take it. "The party has moved even further to the right" - right on! He does not want the Supreme Court to move to the right further. Powell isn't even pausing! "He's not a Muslim." So what if he was? THIS IS NOT THE WAY WE SHOULD BE DOING IT IN AMERICA. This is beautiful - he is talking about a Muslim mother of a soldier at Arlington Cemetery - he died in Iraq and had a purple heart. He even has his name. He was touched. The guy was 14 at the time of 9/11. Transformational. New generation. Bravo!
Powell SPECIFICALLY went after that Puke wingnut Congresswoman from MN in his press conference!
Even Republicans are calling on that bastard McCain to stop the robocalls.
From http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/10/gop-senator-sla.html
ABC News' Teddy Davis and Rigel Anderson report: Embattled Republican Sen. Susan Collins is calling on Sen. John McCain to stop paying for automated phone calls which describe Sen. Barack Obama as having "worked closely" with "domestic terrorist Bill Ayers."
"These kind of tactics have no place in Maine politics," said Collins spokesman Kevin Kelley. "Sen. Collins urges the McCain campaign to stop these calls immediately."
Contacted on Friday by ABC News, the McCain campaign would not say if it was going to heed the request of Collins who serves as his campaign's co-chair in Maine.
"Obviously, Sen. McCain has great respect for Sen. Collins. But beyond that," said McCain spokesman Brian Rogers, "we don't have any comment."
Ayers is the former leader of the Weather Underground. To protest the Vietnam War, his organization ran a domestic bombing campaign which resulted in fatalities.
Obama, who was 8 years old at the time, has repudiated those acts as "despicable." Friday's statement from the Collins campaign came after Maine's Democratic Party issued a press release earlier in the day challenging the Republican incumbent to denounce what it called "blatantly false phone calls personally attacking" Obama.

John zogby has been making frequent appearances on CSPAN's Washington Journal.
As for Colin Powell, he has redeemed himself in a very tough interview this morning. Tom Brokaw is a close friend of McCains.

General Powell spoke of the wars this morning on Meet the Press and how young Americans from all faiths were serving our country including Moslems.
I would like to recommend the HBO documentary, "Section 60: Arlington National Cemetery." It has been called "the saddest acre in America."
