I took full notes too but want to call attention also to Rachel's hot kicks below, next to the flowers in the military boot. Another highlight was hearing the elegant Stephanie Miller, in her rhinestoned Obama shirt, fishnets and boots doing her Exorcist imitation ("Your mother sucks cocks in the Rose Garden"), since more family-oriented blogs will probably gloss over that. As Randi Rhodes pointed out, it's ok to call someone a "giant whore" but you can't call them a "giant whore on fire in a crowded theater."
I don't watch television and I generally don't listen to noncommercial radio because I don't like ads or the talk radio format. This panel, though, was like sitting around in the living room with these guys. They were able to bounce things off each other and the questions were pre-submitted by citizens via the Air America site. I eavesdropped because I was so early. People were talking about getting passports, about books.
I saw Tom Hartmann open for Bill Clinton when he did the "We the People" benefit for Congressman McDermott's legal fund and he's good. Randi Rhodes was quick on her feet and deep in her perspective, while on the radio she hammers her points in the talk show manner. Stephanie Miller was predictably funny and pretty damn hot. Sam Seder and Mike Malloy actually partied with us later down the street - an impromptu "Drinking Liberally." Ron Reagan Jr. is a local and always always great - he was the highlight of the 2004 DNC convention. (Some say Barack Obama and yeah, he was good too.)
Speaking of cool tidings, I just got a phone call from my brother and he has scored a ticket to hear Obama in Denver! I will be there but can't get inside the Investco Center but will be at the Big Tent, so watch for more paparazzi coverage next week! I'll at least have representatives inside!!
