"We win, they lose, and it would happen with overwhelming force. Ladies and gentlemen, we'll practice the Billy Jack school of foreign policy: This heel, on that side of your face, and there's not a thing you can do about it."
Mike Huckabee, 2008
"If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever."

Video above: Americans for the Preservation of Southern Values ad touting Huckleberry or Hickabee (rather than Romney or McCain) or whatever on the Confederate Flag.
As my son said, "What could be more unAmerican than trying to secede from the Union, kill over 600,000 Americans over the issue of slavery - not a very patriotic thing to do, and I think it should be kind of an embarassment for them. Germans don't hang swastikas in court houses."
Re: Republicans eat their own
"If John McCain gets the Republican nomination, it will tear apart and destroy the the republican party.
- Rush Limbaugh.
"Liberals take a perverse pleasure in touting Huckabee because they know he will give them everything they want — big government and a Christian they can roll."
- Anne Coulter
Slugbug

OMG--that quote from Coulter!
Um...Ann, come down to planet earth! It's not the 'liberals' touting Huckabee. It's the right-wing-Christian conservist touting him.
You got a split in your party, Ann.
Sometimes, you gotta bite the bullet, Ann, and tell the truth. This time you can't blame the 'liberals' who fight for social justice and equality and a good quality of living with the extremism from those on the Republican ballot.

Hey Mann,
You know what? Castrated faggots like YOU will be the first to be exterminated under the Huckabee presidency.
No wonder you don't like him.

Well looks like the Repubs are ready for the tear apart
but what does Rush know

Huckabee obviously NOT the least bit innocuous (sp?)

This is just such as awesome Joe C comment that I have to put it here before I clean out my too-full email box.
Billy Jack was very popular when I was in high school. The Korean
martial art of Hapkido was made popular with the movie.
A friend of mine named Gary was obsessed with the movie. He was a
fairly good martial arts practitioner who studied at the same Dojo as I.
He went down to the western wear store an got himself a Billy Jack
hat, black, flat brimmed, complete with an exact duplicate of the
headband worn by Billy Jack so that he would wear it at the high
school hangouts and look tough. He even got the mannerisms down
pat..he would take off each of his boots before a fight to advertise.
(hey, watch out, I'm gunna kick you) The girls thought it was cool
and called him "Billy." So did the guys. These are the kinds of
things teens do as they develope their social skills and try to fit
in to the social fabric. It also helps to develop illusions. One
night after a football game . Gary (aka Billy) was confronted in the
parking lot
by an the chief redneck of the opposing team who said, "Billy Jack is
a pussy! I told Gary to avoid it and walk away and forget it.
(that's what our Sensei always told us to do)
But when your 17 it's hormone city! So what did he do? He said:
"Wait a second, I'l be right there." He took off his boots very
casually, as this is what the movie script would have called for.
Remember, you have to impress the girls. Then he got right up the
guys face and said, "You know what I think I'm going to do? I'm gunna
take my right foot and whack you on the right side of your
head ...and you know something?" Well, the other guy must have seen
the movie too, because he clocked Gary with a quick snap kick to the
groin followed by a right lead to the chin. Isn't it rude to
interrupt people? Some people just don't fight fair.
Here is the way it is supposed to look, in theory:

I guess growing up has some bumps and grinds along the way.
