These are based on "leaks" about who might be coming to the only European-style (like Glastonbury etc) festival in the US, held in Indio California in the Spring. Tickets are sold out before lineups are even announced, but these aren't even for the same dates and are just creating alot of speculation on blogs devoted to this sort of thing. Some say they are "probability-based," which means next to useless for deciding whether to go. The Coachella website is still all set up for 2007 (Coachella.com, of course). Their MySpace page merely asks who people want to see in 2008, and the majority answer, "cheaper tickets!"
The discrepant dates are real and I love this message on a Coachella speculation board:
Will Coachella 2008 be held on April 25-27 or May 2-4?
I need to know so I can plan my wedding around it.
